Among the numerous recurrences of Sciacca, the Carnival of Sciacca is one of the oldest.  

It’s part of Sicily’s Immaterial Heritage Register and its deep soul is the papier-Mache with which the wonderful chariots are made.  

A poor material that for over 100 years has been shaped with incredible skill by the Cartapestai Masters, creating creations sought around the world. 

 With the different Carnival Experiences our Artisan Masters will explain the secrets of carnival wagons and share the art of papier-Mache, from clay shape to the creation of chalk cast, so you can create unique masks because made by you, even starting from one your actual photo.
